  • RBI allowed Banks to reduce number of Free Transactions from ATMs (Automated Teller Machines) of Other Banks to Three in a Month (From Five). Banks are also allowed to charge fee on more then Five Transactions from their own ATMs in a Month.
  • RBI has further Tightened the Norms for ARCs (Asset Reconstruction Companies) and stated that they will have to pay upfront 15 per cent of the bid value of non-performing loans, against five per cent earlier. Also, those planning to buy bad loans will get more time (at least two weeks) to carry out due diligence before bidding for stressed assets.
